Chapter 2 — Building Blocks
Building Blocks are the rules and structures you configure once and that then run across every module. The classifications you create for tickets, you reuse tomorrow for assets. A workflow you design for incidents gets reused for catering orders. A notification template covers both bookings and visitors.
That’s why this chapter is the logical second step after master data: the foundation under the modules.
The nine building blocks
2.1 Classifications
Taxonomy as the through-line of the system — for reporting, routing and AI context.
2.2 Workflows & statuses
Process as a data model — who does what, when and in which order.
2.3 Permissions & access
Workgroups, groups, privileges and restriction rules.
2.4 Custom fields
Configurable data fields without custom code.
2.5 Communication
Email, bot and notification templates, sequences.
2.6 SLA & priority
Measurable service delivery — time targets and priority matrix.
2.7 Filters & views
Tailored work environments per role, shared or private.
2.8 Task rules
Automation that runs across every module.
