Delete / decline a booking

Three ways to remove a booking in Gfacility — via the linked calendar, from inside the booking, or with the buttons on the planning board.

Updated Jan 15, 2026

There are a number of ways to delete a booking:

  • Through the calendar link.
  • From within the booking.
  • With the buttons on the planning board.

When a booking has been created by a user themselves via the calendar, the room booking and services, catering, and visitors are automatically cancelled when the calendar appointment is cancelled or deleted. This is the best way because the user is responsible for managing the appointment, but only works if a booking was made by the user themselves via the calendar. You recognise this is the case by the organiser of a booking. This is the user.

From within the booking

When you open a booking from the list, or expand it from the planning board with the

icon, you see a trash can on the right of the screen. When you use this trash can, both visitors, catering, services, and any room booking are cancelled.

From the planning board

When you select a booking on the planning board, you see buttons depending on who the organiser is. If the room is the organiser (in other words, the booking was created from the planning board), you only see the button

If a person is the organiser (in other words, the booking was created from the calendar of a person), you see

With the cancel button the whole booking is cancelled, including services, catering, and visitors.

With the No button, only the room is declined. The person can now add a new room themselves to which the services are added. If you also want to remove the services, catering, and visitors, then one of the two earlier discussed methods must be used.
