About this cookie policy

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies Gfacility uses on gfacility.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember your choices (e.g. language) and help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are set by us (first-party), some by trusted partners (third-party). Some entries below are not cookies in the strict sense but keys in your browser's local storage; the same rules and choices apply to them.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They store your cookie consent choice, your language preference, basic session and security state, and protect the site against automated abuse. They never collect analytics or marketing data.

  • gf_cookie_consent_v1: your choice from the cookie banner (localStorage, first-party)
  • gf_locale: preferred website language (1 year, first-party)
  • gf_sorenae_announce_v1 remembers that the Gfacility to Sorenae rename announcement was already shown, so it appears only once (localStorage, first-party)
  • cf_clearance: Cloudflare bot protection that shields the site against automated abuse (1 year, first-party)
  • Session & security tokens: short-lived, first-party

Analytics (consent-based)

If you accept analytics cookies we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used in aggregate, such as pages visited, traffic sources and broad device type, so we can improve content and performance. We also use Microsoft Clarity for anonymised heatmaps and session replays; form fields are masked so typed input is never visible in replays. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use analytics data for advertising. You can opt out at any time from the cookie banner or your browser settings.

  • _ga, _ga_<ID>: Google Analytics 4 visitor and session identifiers (up to 13 months, first-party)
  • FPID, FPLC: first-party Google Analytics 4 identifiers set by our own measurement server on pulse.gfacility.com (up to 13 months / 24 hours, first-party)
  • _clck, _clsk: Microsoft Clarity visitor and session identifiers for heatmaps and replays (up to 1 year, first-party)

Lead capture & marketing (consent-based)

If you accept marketing cookies we use Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and LinkedIn to measure which campaigns lead to genuine interest and to reach relevant business audiences, and ZoomInfo to recognise the company (never the individual) behind a business visit. You can opt out at any time from the cookie banner.

  • _gcl_au, FPAU, _gcl_ls: Google Ads click and conversion attribution (3 months, first-party; _gcl_ls in localStorage)
  • __Secure-ENID and related google.com cookies: Google advertising and remarketing (up to 13 months, third-party)
  • _uetsid, _uetvid: Microsoft Advertising visitor and session identifiers (1 day / 13 months, first-party)
  • bcookie, lidc, li_gc and related linkedin.com cookies: LinkedIn campaign measurement and business audiences (up to 1 year, third-party)
  • _zitok: ZoomInfo recognition of the company behind a business visit, based on the business IP address (1 year, first-party)
  • Calendly cookies, set only when you click to open the booking widget on the contact or partner page, for scheduling and rescheduling meetings (varies, third-party, click-only)

Sending your details somewhere is not the same as tracking you with a cookie. When you submit a form we pass your details to Teamleader (our CRM) and, for newsletter signups, to Mailchimp. Neither of them sets cookies on this website; both are named as recipients, with the legal basis, in our privacy policy.

Company identification (legitimate interest)

We use Leadinfo to recognise which organisation a business visit comes from, based on the business IP address of the network you browse from. This identifies companies, not individuals, and helps our sales team follow up on commercial interest. Leadinfo also stores identifiers in your browser to link pages visited to that recognition (localStorage keys _li_id and _li_ses, 2 years / current session, first-party, used only by Leadinfo and never shared with other parties). This runs on the basis of our legitimate interest, independently of your banner choice, and is switched off on our help pages. You can object to identification by Leadinfo across all its customers via Leadinfo's opt-out page; after opting out Leadinfo no longer registers your data.

Managing your preferences

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the Cookies link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Refusing analytics or marketing cookies has no impact on your ability to access or use the site. Withdrawing consent stops new data collection; cookies that were already set can be removed via your browser settings.

Third parties

Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the parties that set them:

Updates

We update this policy when we add, remove or change a cookie category. Material changes will be communicated through the cookie banner. The current version is published at gfacility.com/cookies/.
